FAQs, answered plainly

Quick, practical answers on shipping, care, and how RE;Treat works.

General

Who is RE;Treat for?

RE;Treat was initially built for shift workers, first responders, and advanced tradies. Paramedics, police, firefighters, nurses, construction workers, and anyone doing long hours in hard environments.

If your shift runs 10 to 14 hours, your work environment is harsh, and your current cooler bag is failing you — RE;Treat was built for you.

And if you have someone in your life who shows up for others every day, this is built for them too. But we didn't want to hold back the goodness of this so if you want to support our frontline responders but don't know how, why not make a purchase and help to build a place that is designed specifically with them in mind.

Is RE;Treat a “lifestyle” cooler bag?

No. RE;Treat is not a lifestyle product. It was not designed for camping trips, music festivals, or weekend markets.

It was engineered for shift work. Every material, seam, and closure was chosen to perform in the environments where standard soft coolers fail- high heat, contamination exposure, and thermoretention for 12 to 14 hour shifts.

Why is it premium-priced?

Because it is not built like a standard cooler bag.

840D TPU inside and out. Fully welded shells. Airtight waterproof zipper. 25mm closed-cell NBR insulation. Moulded EVA foam lid and base. These are not materials you find in a $40 soft cooler.

RE;Treat is built to last shift after shift, in conditions that destroy cheaper bags in weeks. You buy it once and it holds up.

Every purchase also goes toward funding the RE;Shift Bush Retreat, a free decompression property for emergency responder use.

Will it actually last, or will it fall apart after a few months?

RE;Treat is built from 840D TPU,  the same material used in tactical and industrial gear. The shells are fully welded, not stitched. There are no seams to split, no fabric to fray, and no liner to peel away.

It is not built to last a season. It is built to last years of daily shift use in harsh environments. If it fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will make it right.

What is your return policy if it does not work for me?

We offer a 30-day money back guarantee. If RE;Treat does not perform the way we say it does, contact us within 30 days of receiving your order and we will process a full refund.

No hoops. No lengthy back and forth. Just contact us, tell us what happened, and we will sort it.

Is RE;Treat Australian made?

RE;Treat is Australian designed, veteran owned, and built to Australian standards. Like most specialist gear in this category, it is manufactured overseas to our exact specifications. We are not going to dress that up. What we can tell you is that every material, seam, and closure was chosen by someone who has worked the shifts this bag is built for.

Care and Usage

How do I clean RE;Treat?

Hose it out or wipe it down with bleach. The interior and exterior are both 840D TPU, fully welded and non-porous. No stitching penetrating the shell. No fabric to absorb odour, grease, or fluid. 30 seconds and it is done.

Will it hold smells?

No. The 840D TPU interior is non-porous and fully welded. There is nothing for odour to absorb into. Wipe it out after a shift and it stays clean. If something has been in there a while, a quick wipe with a diluted bleach solution clears it completely.

Can it handle spills?

Yes. The exterior is fully waterproof. If something spills on it, wipe it off. The interior is the same, welded TPU with no fabric lining to soak up liquid. Tip it out. Wipe it down. Done.

About the Product

How long will it keep food cold?

Most soft cooler bags are tested in ideal conditions. Not a sealed vehicle in Australian summer heat. ShiftCore Thermal Lock was tested in a real ambulance in 42°C ambient heat. Cold for your entire shift, no matter how long it runs. Built for the shift. Not a couple of hours at a BBQ.

How much can it hold?

18 litres of usable internal space. Internal dimensions are 31.5 x 21 x 23.5 cm. Enough room for main meals, snacks, drinks, and ice packs for a 12 to 14 hour shift. A 1.25L bottle fits laying down with room to spare.
