How long does it keep food cold?
Up to 14 hours in a vehicle on a hot day. Tested in a real ambulance on a hot 42 degree day. Food still cold at knock off. Performance depends on how often you open it and what ice packs you use, but it is built for a full shift, not a couple of hours.
Does it fit in an ambulance
Yes. The RE;Treat was designed with ambulance crews in mind. External dimensions are 39x29x34 cm. It sits flat between the seats or in the back without sliding or tipping. The moulded EVA base keeps it stable in the cab.
Can it be cleaned after a dirty shift properly?
Yes. Hose it out or wipe it down with bleach. The interior and exterior are both 840D TPU, fully welded and non-porous. Zero stitching penetrating the shell. No fabric to absorb fluids, grease, mud 30 seconds and it is done.
Is it big enough for a full shift worth of food?
18 litres of usable internal space. Internal dimensions are 31.5x 21x 23.5 cm. Enough room for main meals, snacks, drinks and ice packs for a 12 to 14 hour shift. A 1.25L bottle fits laying down with room to spare.
